The conference took place over the span of two days (November 13th and 14th). The keynote speakers Prof. Dr. Yanki Hartijasti from Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Sayed Yusuf from University of Sussex, UK, Prof. Dr. Barbara M. Croussouard, University of Sussex, UK, Dr. Naureen Durrani from Kazakhstan visited Fab Lab Khairpur along with the faculty from Education Department of Sukkur IBA University. The visit of a FAB Lab expert, Mr. Francisco Sanchez Arroyo from Spain, for installation and commissioning of the first-ever FAB Lab in Pakistan at IIET Khairpur. A Fab Lab is a technical prototyping platform for innovation and invention, providing stimulus for local entrepreneurship. Currently Fab Lab include a laser cutter that makes 2D and 3D structures, 3D printers, SERVO vinyl cutter, a large CNC mill for making furniture and housing, and a suite of electronic components and programming tools for low-cost, high-speed micro-controllers for on-site rapid circuit prototyping. read more...
